Light is the inspiration for my collection, as our understanding and perception of the world originates from it. Within this concept of light, I aim to explore the authenticity of the world through studying the relationship between natural and artificial light, and how the dynamic relationship between humans and the natural world affects our understanding of reality.
Apart from the strong contrast of colors, the first thing that might catch your eye are the exaggerated accessory on the outside of the clothes. These seemingly irregular and chaotic lines are also inspired by natural rays of light. Capturing the unique way light and shadow interact with human form, this creates an exploration of the relationship between wearable illumination and perception.
The refraction of light allows us to see things from different perspectives, just like how we perceive landscapes differently when we stand at different distances or angles, or how people with color vision impairments see things differently. I hope that through my collection, everyone can experience the interaction with light and appreciate its beauty.
