Born in Hong Kong, KAY KWOK began his career as a fashion designer in London. He graduated from the London College of Fashion with a postgraduate degree in 2013. His graduation collection garnered significant attention from the London fashion scene, leading him to establish his menswear brand KAY KWOK, characterized by a contemporary futuristic aesthetic and forward-thinking vision. In the same year, he received support from GQ CHINA and showcased his first Spring/Summer collection at London Fashion Week, becoming the first Hong Kong designer to present at this event. Following the show, he received praise from international fashion editor Suzy Menkes in the fashion section of The New York Times.
Having always had a passion for fashion design, he earned a bachelor’s degree in fashion design from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University before enrolling in a master’s program in menswear at the London College of Fashion. He interned at the renowned fashion brand ALEXANDER MCQUEEN. His graduation collection successfully won the overall championship at THE 20TH MITTELMODA FASHION AWARD ITALY, making him the first Chinese recipient of this honor in its 20-year history.
